The culture medium used for propagation of Lewis lung carcinoma and related cell lines (listed below) is RPMI 1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum.

Originally, these cell lines were reported to be cultivated using Ham's F10 : Leivovitz L15 = 3:7 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum. When the cell lines were deposited at cell bank, however, these cell lines were cultivated in RPMI 1640 medium with 10% fetal bovine serum.
